Credentials
I have 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health recovery and community. I enjoy working with my clients, one to one and in groups. I have worked closely with lived experience peer workers for the last 10 years.
I have trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion Focused Therapy, mindful meditation and many Hearing Voices focused approaches.
I have current insurance, working with children check, police check and Ahpra registration (UK-trained Registered Nurse Mental Health, therapeutic, holistic, non-pathologising nurse).
Professional guidance: I consult with an Australian psychotherapist and nurse practitioner for constructive supervision. I also partake in an international supervision circle that brings together a group of lived experienced and learned experience psychotherapists, peer workers, nurses, psychologists and social workers for peer-supervision of therapeutic approaches for ‘hearing voices’ work.
Here are some of my personal interests, as requested: I like talking to friends, being in nature, walking, swimming, surfing, playing music, self-development, travel, meditation, driving, food, games, DIY projects and learning. I feel passionate about my work.
